  • Subscription Services are items that are applied immediately to the membership account upon purchase. They automatically renew upon expiration of the subscription period, and accordingly, refund requests are not possible. However, you may cancel your subscribed service at any time. If there is a remaining period, the service will be maintained until the next renewal point, and cancellation of the subscription will take effect from the following renewal point.
  • If you wish to change or cancel automatic payment for a Subscription Service, you must proceed through the relevant procedure using your selected payment method. The same procedure must be followed if you have deleted your membership account on the Platform or deleted the app from your device.
  • If you receive additional virtual goods at the same time as purchasing virtual goods, and all or part of such additional virtual goods has been used, you may not request cancellation of the purchase regardless of any time limit.
  • You may not request cancellation of a purchase for virtual goods received as a gift, nor may you exchange such virtual goods for cash.
  • If the virtual goods you received through a purchase differ from what was represented, or if the purchase agreement was not performed as agreed, you may request cancellation of the purchase within 3 months from the date of purchase and within 30 days from the date you become aware of such fact.
  • The method for requesting withdrawal of an offer may differ depending on the payment method used. If paying through Google Play, you may apply through Google Play or the Company's customer support center (email: stepin.cs@sidewalkplay.com); if paying through the App Store, you may apply through the App Store.
  • After receiving and approving a user's purchase cancellation request, the Company will recover or delete the relevant virtual goods and process a refund of the fees paid within 3 business days from that date.
  • Refunds will generally be made using the payment method used at the time of purchase, in accordance with the rules of the payment method used; if this method is not applicable, the refund amount may be paid by another method with the agreement of the user and the Company. The time required for a refund may vary depending on the payment method and its applicable terms.
  • Refunds will be processed in accordance with the refund rules of the payment method you used to purchase virtual goods, under the laws of your country of residence, and restrictions may apply. Accordingly, we recommend that you carefully review the refund terms and rules of the relevant payment method operator.
  • If a minor (under 19 years of age in Korea; for other countries and regions, in accordance with Chapter 7, Article 1, Paragraph 5 of these Terms) purchases virtual goods without the consent of a legal representative, the legal representative may request cancellation of the purchase. In accordance with the processing policy of the relevant payment method operator, such operator may request identification documents and other documents proving eligibility from the minor user and the legal representative in order to verify their age and identity.

Article 3 Use, Usage Period, Exchange, and Transfer of Virtual Goods

1. Use

  • Virtual goods may be purchased, used, or consumed within the Platform in accordance with your agreement to these Terms and the individual usage methods and conditions of the Platform, and in accordance with the methods and conditions determined by the Company.
  • When purchasing virtual goods, previously charged virtual goods will be used first. Purchased virtual goods will be consumed in priority over virtual goods provided free of charge or as promotions.
  • Paid items are available for use for 3 years from the date of payment, and after this period has elapsed, any remaining items will automatically expire. Receipt or opening of a paid item is deemed the commencement of its use. However, Subscription Services are items whose use begins immediately upon purchase.
  • Items for which a usage period is separately specified may only be used during the specified period.
  • If virtual goods are damaged, impaired, deleted, or defective due to a material defect in the Platform, you may receive compensation, such as recharging or restoring the relevant virtual goods.
  • No interest income accrues on the balance of virtual goods or the remaining period of a Subscription Service.
  • The Company may change the functions of existing items or make them unusable due to updates or changes to the Platform, the Virtual Goods Policy, or the like. In such cases, if an item whose usage period has not yet elapsed becomes unusable, the Company will compensate with another item corresponding to the remaining usage period of the relevant item.

2. Exchange

Virtual goods may not be exchanged for cash, property, or other monetary benefits other than the services or features designated by the Company. Conditions required for exchange for services or features on the Platform shall be designated by the Company and posted on the Platform.

3. Transfer

Virtual goods may not be transferred to another account except by means designated by the Company, and may only be used in the account in which they were acquired.

Chapter 8 - Indemnification and Limitation of Warranties, etc.

Article 1 Indemnification

If a third party files a lawsuit or claim against the Company, the Company's licensors, business partners, affiliates, directors, officers and employees, and business partners, etc. (hereinafter the "Company Side"), causing damage (including attorneys' fees) to the Company Side, arising from (1) your violation of these Terms or relevant laws, (2) your infringement of the rights of other users or third parties, (3) your use of the Platform and Company Assets for inappropriate purposes, (4) a dispute with another user or third party arising from your use of the Platform and Company Assets, (5) your disclosure or unauthorized publication of another person's personal information, or (6) taxes or costs arising in connection with the Platform and related purchases, you shall indemnify the Company Side for such damage. In this case, the Company Side may have the right to take the lead in responding to the dispute, including selecting legal counsel, at your expense. If you consider mediation, settlement, or the like with the relevant third party, you must obtain the Company's prior consent. Accordingly, any settlement or mediation conducted without the Company's consent shall have no effect on the Company Side.

Article 2 Limitation of Warranties

  • The Company does not guarantee your satisfaction, benefit, expected quality, the accuracy of information you receive, or fitness for any particular purpose you have specifically considered, with respect to the current state of the Platform.
  • Unless otherwise provided by law, the Company bears no responsibility for problems arising from your use of the Platform. You may resolve such problems by discontinuing use of the Platform, withdrawing your membership through the in-app function, or requesting deletion of your account at stepin.cs@sidewalkplay.com.
  • The Company does not expressly or impliedly warrant that the Platform is free of legal or actual defects (including defects, errors, or bugs related to completeness, reliability, safety, accuracy, flexibility, security, fitness for a particular purpose, or infringement of rights). The Company has no obligation to remove such defects for users.
  • The Company does not guarantee the safety of content transmission, receipt, or freedom from viruses in connection with your use of the Platform.

Article 3 Limitation of Liability

  • The Company bears no responsibility for any loss incurred by you, other than direct losses arising from a material error related to your use of the Platform. For example, the Company bears no responsibility for indirect losses, losses due to punitive sanctions, loss of profit, business interruption losses, or similar circumstances. This applies even where the Company has received prior notice of the possibility of such losses. Where the Company is liable because a user's personal information was leaked due to the Company's gross negligence or willful misconduct, leading to a purchase of virtual goods, the scope of compensation shall be limited to the price of the virtual goods purchased, as proven by evidence submitted by the user.
  • The Company bears no responsibility for damage arising during your access to or use of the Platform, including (1) personal injury, (2) damage due to illegal use of or access to the Company's servers by a third party, (3) damage due to interference with or interception of transmissions to or from the Company's servers by a third party, (4) damage due to transmission or distribution of malicious programs by a third party, (5) damage due to omission, destruction, or deletion of data transmission, defamation, or other damage arising from the Company's unintended negligence or wrongful conduct, or other conduct by a user or third party.

Article 4 External Sites

The Platform Service may include links to websites operated by third parties. The Company does not own or operate such websites, and such links are provided for convenience. You bear sole responsibility for your use of such links and external websites. The Company has no control over linked sites and bears no responsibility for the content of such sites. Such links do not constitute the Company's endorsement of information or materials on other sites, and the Company bears no responsibility whatsoever in connection with your access to and use of linked websites.

Article 5 Premises Regarding the Company's Provision of Services

You acknowledge and agree that the Company provides the Platform and sets related prices in accordance with these Terms.

Article 6 Waiver

The Company's failure to enforce or exercise any right or provision specified in these Terms shall not be deemed a waiver of such right or provision. A waiver of any right or provision under these Terms shall be deemed valid only where made in a document signed by the Company.

Chapter 9 - Interpretation of the Terms, Governing Law, and Dispute Resolution

Article 1 Entire Agreement

These Terms (including additional terms and policies) constitute the entire agreement between you and the Company with respect to the subject matter of this agreement. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, such provision shall be modified only to the extent necessary to make it enforceable, and such modification shall not affect the enforceability or validity of the remaining provisions, which shall remain in full force and effect.

Article 2 Titles of Provisions

The titles of the provisions used in these Terms are provided for convenience and do not affect the interpretation or construction of the provisions of this agreement, nor do they limit or affect the meaning or scope of the provisions of these Terms.

Article 3 Injunctive Relief, etc.

Pursuant to these Terms, you acknowledge and agree that your obligations to the Company are of an irreplaceable nature. Because losses caused by your breach of such obligations may be difficult to remedy through monetary compensation alone, the Company shall have the right to seek injunctive relief, including a preliminary injunction, where a breach of your obligations is anticipated.

Article 4 Interpretation of the Terms

These Terms are intended for users residing in the Republic of Korea, and in the event of any discrepancy with the English version of the Terms, the interpretation under these Terms shall prevail.

Article 5 Governing Law and Jurisdiction

You acknowledge and agree that, in principle, the interpretation of these Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and that disputes related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Seoul Western District Court as the court of first instance.

Chapter 10 - Miscellaneous

Article 1 Security

The Company does not guarantee the security status of the Platform or that the Platform is free from bugs or viruses. You are responsible for configuring your information technology and the Platform environment settings when accessing the Platform. You must use your own virus protection software.

Article 2 Severability

If a specific provision of these Terms is invalidated by a court or law having jurisdiction over the relevant matter, such provision shall be deleted from these Terms, and this shall not affect the other provisions; the provisions of the Terms other than the deleted provision shall remain valid and enforceable.
